Episode 36: Alex Smilansky - Co-Founder & CEO - Mayku

In this week’s episode, host Matt Griffin sits down with Alex Smilansky, Co-Founder & CEO, of Mayku. Alex shares how the Mayku team, both inspired by and leveraging the 3D printing revolution, has reinvented 3D-forming manufacturing processes such as thermoforming as accessible, desktop fabrication technologies. So far, they have launched the Mayku FormBox (vacuum forming) and Mayku Multiplier (pressure forming), with more 3D forming platforms on the way. Their approach to reimagining industrial 3D forming methods has offered new routes for users to quickly duplicate parts and produce molding/casting components, meeting a wide range of needs from prototyping to product design to medical parts to educational experiences to producing custom chocolate molds.

Alex Smilansky: “Our belief is that we are moving into a world where everything is touched by 3D printing, but not where everything is 3D Printed. And that for us is the important distinction that we're trying to make.”
